Adults White, Yellow, Orange, Blue requires 3 tips each rank/ Purple & up 6 tips each.

Approval Signatures (Kids Only)

The physical and technical training is only part of the journey towards Black Belt. Good character, Positive Attitude, & Discipline are vital to developing a good Martial Artist.

Kid Students must have written authorization from their parents and their teachers that they are meeting expectations at home and in the classroom to qualify for rank advancement.

Full Uniform

All students must have a full uniform & belt for testing. It’s important to have a “dress to impress” attitude.

Bring Any & All gear to every testing

It’s important to be prepared for what the test examiner will want to do. Typically if drills in class used any equipment, then it is likely that they will be tested with the same equipment.

Testing Date & Time

RSKA holds testing every last Mon & Tues of the month, unless there is a holiday conflict. The dates and times are posted at the dojo. If you cannot locate it, please ask an instructor.

Test Preparation Class

This class is highly recommended but is not required until the Brown & Black Belt ranks. The Instructor will review the exact techniques that were taught in class, clean up with tips, and send the students home with a practice plan to prepare for the actual testing. Test prep is typically held the Saturday before testing.

What will they be tested on?

The only time students need to be knowledgeable of the entire RSKA curriculum will be during their Black Belt test. The other belt test will be evaluating the skills that were presented in class. Including Habits & Traditions of the Martial Arts.
